Terry Chance, founder of Aging Mavens, LLC, helps guide families and their loved ones through the complex world of senior care.
She belongs to the Society of Certified Senior Advisors, is a Professional member of the Aging Life Care Association and has a master’s degree with a certification in gerontology from UNC Charlotte.
She has more than 25 years’ experience in the senior care industry and extensive knowledge about the costs, quality and availability of eldercare options in Forsyth and surrounding counties.

My Personal Journey
I first began to understand the importance of gentle and compassionate aging care when my mother became very ill in 1997. Throughout the next 14 years my work helping her navigate the senior care system became a passion. While her journey was long and daunting, we shared many important successes and quality moments.
Each day posed a new challenge. Now, each day I do this work it is in her honor and in honor of her sister whose aging decisions I also managed for many years.

Aging Mavens provides a client-centered approach to caring for older adults. This approach, also known as geriatric care management, leads to actions and decisions that ensure an older adult lives an optimal life with quality care and dignity.
You may need Aging Mavens if you are in or are anticipating a crisis, live far away from family or just want to have a plan for your future. Aging Mavens provides answers at times of difficulty and uncertainty.
We begin with a personal assessment to understand your needs, concerns, and goals. By looking at your current situation and future wishes, we help create a care plan that brings knowledge, support, and direction.
Through ongoing coordination and advocacy, families receive the help they need to remain safe and well cared for. From arranging in-home care to guiding housing transitions, we help families move forward with the right support in place.
